TRANSPORTATION

The development and maintenance of our surface transportation system is vital to our community.  C3TS has historically played and continues to play a key role at the local, county and state levels in the development of this system.  Our highway engineers have delivered roadway projects ranging in complexities and challenges throughout Florida.  We are one of the few consultants that can attest to having worked for the Florida Department of Transportation on a statewide basis in every District.

In rural areas we have provided design services for resurfacing, repair and rehabilitation (3R) projects for two lane and multi-lane arterials and local roads.  Numerous of these have included the widening and increase in capacity of these facilities.  In urban areas we have worked with various communities to extend the service life and increase capacity of major urban arterials with complex right-of-way issues.

Urban settings have a unique complexity requiring context sensitive designs for the promotion of “Livable Communities”.  In today’s world the development of our surface transportation system must take a multi-modal (Pedestrian, Bicycle, Transit, etc.) approach in delivering a balance between “Livability and Mobility” in urban settings.  At C3TS we are highly skilled in this area.

Our complex highway expertise includes the development of limited access and expressway facilities in both rural and urban settings. We routinely work with the Florida Department of Transportation, Florida Turnpike Enterprise and the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority in meeting their transportation needs.  Whether it involves a simple resurfacing of the highway or the widening and reconstruction of complex interchanges, C3TS is up to the challenge.
