CONCRETE BLOCK MANUFACTURING FACILITIES

HOMESTEAD ADONEL CONCRETE
Homestead, Florida

C3TS’ first contract with Adonel Concrete was to expand their batching capabilities at their existing plant facility located in Homestead in unincorporated Miami-Dade County.  The spike in concrete demands prompted the need for an additional concrete batch plant located next to their existing set-up.  The improvements at the existing 4.88-acre developed site also included a new containment area to house two 5,000 gallon diesel storage tanks for concrete truck re-fueling.  With the expansion, the new plant more than doubled its capacity, allowing Adonel Concrete to keep up with the local concrete demands. Construction was completed in 2004.

WEST PALM BEACH ADONEL CONCRETE
Palm Beach County, Florida

Following the first project, C3TS was then contracted by Adonel Concrete to expand their concrete services into Palm Beach County.  The project involved the site planning, design, permitting and construction administration of two new concrete batch plants located on 5.26 acres of previously undeveloped land.  The site is part of a 4,000-acre mining facility owned and operated by Palm Beach Aggregates.  Site elements include two complete batching plants, a wash facility for six concrete trucks with a closed loop water reclamation system, material storage bins, diesel tank storage, admixture containment area, a wet well and septic tank, and the required drainage facilities.  The operations at concrete batch plants, especially at the truck wash facility, are very environmentally sensitive and were carefully designed to comply with state permit requirements.  The construction was completed in March of 2006.

DORAL ADONEL CONCRETE
Doral, Florida

Another project that C3TS completed for Adonel Concrete was the expansion of their batching capabilities at their existing plant facility located in Doral in unincorporated Miami-Dade County.  The spike in concrete demands prompted the need for an additional concrete batch plant located next to their existing set-up.  The site proved to have many challenges as the plant foundations had to fit within inches of the existing plant, and required the relocation of an existing electrical and mechanical room.  The improvements at the existing 3.56-acre developed site allowed Adonel Concrete to double their batching capacity.  Construction was completed in October of 2006.

FORT PIERCE ADONEL CONCRETE
Fort Pierce, Florida

Ft PierceC3TS was also contracted by Adonel Concrete to expand their concrete services further north into St. Lucie County.  This project included site planning, design, permitting and construction administration of 2 new concrete batch plants located on an undeveloped 9.22 acre site in an industrial park County.  Site elements include 2 complete batching plants, truck wash facility for 6 concrete trucks with a closed loop water reclamation system, material storage bins, diesel tank storage, admixture containment area, railroad extension for delivering materials complete with a rail unloading system, utility extensions, and the required drainage facilities including an on-site wet detention facility and minor modifications to the existing off-site final retention pond.  Again, the environmental and drainage permitting proved challenging in order to satisfy state and local requirements.  The construction was completed in March of 2007.

LIGHT INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES
Throughout Florida

The firm’s staff has extensive experience in the design and retrofit of various light industrial facilities. Experience includes the Busch Boulevard Concrete Paverstone Plant in Tampa, Florida. This project was commissioned by Tarmac and encompassed the architectural and engineering design of a state-of-the-art facility, which operates with computerized Omag paver machines. Additional projects include Flamingo Graphics (the official contractors to the Florida Lottery), for which C3TS designed 53,000 square-feet of printing facilities, as well as handling and distribution facilities, to exclusively handle the Florida Lottery’s printing needs.

MAINTENANCE FACILITIES
Throughout Florida

C3TS’s extensive experience in the design of maintenance facilities includes the City of North Miami Beach Public Works Facility. The firm provided civil engineering and architectural peer review services for this 12,000 square-foot truck wash, vehicle service and office facility, which was featured for its environmentally-conscious design in Public Works Magazine. Additional project experience includes the Design-Build of the FDOT District Six North Miami-Dade Maintenance Facility, as well as master planning design for the City of Coral Springs Westside Municipal Maintenance Facility (individual staff experience).
